Winter 2009
Weekend to Sedbergh, Yorkshire Dales
22 February
– 24 February 2009
The Winter
2009 weekend will be in the Yorkshire Dales village
of Sedbergh. Following local government
reorganisation in 1974 the Tories decided to put
Sedbergh in Cumbria but the village remains in the
Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Sedbergh is
east of Junction 37 of the M6 and the nearest train
station is Oxenholme near Kendal.
Our
accommodation is at the Bull Hotel details of which
can be found at
http://www.bullhotelsedbergh.co.uk/. We have
arranged a deal of £47.50 per night for dinner, bed
and breakfast.
It is proposed
that the Saturday walk will be on the Howgill Fells
http://www.yorkshire-dales.com/howgill-fells.html.
Lunch should be brought only for the Saturday walk.
On Sunday a walk will be arranged around Dent so
that we can lunch at the famous Sun Inn.
If
you wish to attend please get in touch with the
management.
